The City of Hollywood will see some major improvements to its infrastructure.

During a recent meeting, the Hollywood Commission approved resolutions on some large contracts.

One of these contracts is with Lanzo Lining Services for the Gravity Sewer System Condition Assessment and Renewal and Replacement Program, also known as the inflow/infiltration reduction program, as identified in the 2007/2008 Wastewater System Master Plan. The contract is for $7,757,350.

Also, it approved a work order with Kimley Horn and Associates to provide professional engineering services for the Water Main Replacement Program from Moffett Street to Hollywood Boulevard and between South Federal Highway to the Intracoastal Waterway as identified in the 2007 Water System Master Plan. It is for a lump sum of $1,345,520.99.

The commission also approved renewal policies for primary and excess property insurance, renewal policies for public officials liability insurance and new flood insurance policies for three properties for which no flood insurance is in place not to exceed the amount of $1,973,620.43 for which quotes were solicited by Arthur J.
