Mixing her European flair with her South Floridian point of view, photographer Simona Solomon recently announced the opening of Simona Solomon Photography at 2028 Harrison Street in Downtown Hollywood.
A long-time professional photographer, Simona specializes in headshots, business and personal portraits, family, maternity and engagement shoots, and interior and product shots.
Simona, a native of Milan, Italy, studied and worked as a filmmaker and videographer before moving full time into still photography when she became a mother. In December, she opened the studio on Harrison Street with her husband Peter Solomon, an award-winning product design consultant.
The Solomons love living in Florida and are thrilled to have located both their businesses in Downtown Hollywood.
“There are so many beautiful locations for photography,” said Simona. “I love shooting on the water and on the beach. And here in downtown, we have the galleries, the good restaurants, the Downtown Hollywood Mural Project — so much inspiration, and wonderful backdrops for street-style photography. You can find everything within a five or ten minute drive!”
Simona believes that her Italian upbringing as well as her previous cinematic work makes her photography unique.
“I am intrigued with the play between light and shadow and I see my photographic scenes through cinematic eyes,” she says. “Since I come from filmmaking and video, I apply a fresh take and classic beauty to everything I do.”
