It was party time on Harrison Street when Scratch DJ Academy held a ribbon cutting for its newest location in Downtown Hollywood. Scratch DJ Academy is the world’s leading DJ and music production learning center, co-developed by Jam Master Jay of Run DMC. Scratch DJ Academy has locations in NYC, Miami, LA, and Chicago, along with dozens of satellite locations in hotels, resorts, and cruise ships worldwide. To date, Scratch DJ Academy has taught over 500,000 people to DJ and produce music through its copyrighted curriculum and proven teaching methods.
Mayor Josh Levy came and spoke at the ribbon cutting. “I love music and this is a great way to pump up a chamber event,” he yelled, over the music. Commissioner Kevin Biederman agreed. Other local dignitaries present at the event were Anne Hotte, CEO/Executive Director of the Greater Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, and Rich Aube, President of the Hollywood chapter of the Lions Club International.
The Scratch DJ Academy teaches people how to be successful DJs in both accellereated and part time programs while its parent company also provides entertainment for events worldwide.
