The Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort is now open. The resort which cost around $175 million to build, is very laid back atmosphere and lyrics from Buffett’s songs can be found throughout the resort.

“This is fun place to be,” said Cate Farmer, general manager of the resort during a soft opening tour. “You really feel that you are in paradise.”

Much of the interior features and sand and ocean theme. Upon entering the resort, you immediately spot a giant blue flip flop and a chandelier made from upside down margarita glasses. The facility includes 17 stories located on five acres on the Hollywood Beach Broadwalk.

There is something for everyone at this new resort including eight restaurants and bars, three pools, a FlowRider surf simulator, a spa and convention and meeting space. Restaurants include Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville which includes 400 seats, LandShark Bar & Grill, JWB Prime Steak and Seafood and other places to eat and drink.

The whole atmosphere is very relaxed and ocean oriented. Some of Jimmy Buffett’s surf boards are on display and the retail shops offer beach wear. The meeting rooms offer a pleasant atmosphere to hold a convention or business meeting before hitting the beach.
