Maribel Ruiz, the owner of Skin & Body by Beauty of Wax was named the “Small Business Person of the Year” by the Greater Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.
She began her business in her condominium and developed it into the successful operation it is now. Beauty of Wax is based in Hollywood at 240 Polk Street and has a location in Plantation.
“I started at my home 16 years ago and now I have a location I am very happy with,” said Ruiz. “I am very involved with my community and non-profit organizations. This business is my dream.”
