The McArthur High School boys basketball team is doing very well early in the season. The team has a winning record and is ranked as the best Class 8A basketball team in Florida. The team has played well in the Kreul Classic basketball tournament.
Head Coach Warren Gale believes the McArthur basketball team could win a state championship if the team continues to play this well. Top players include Derric Jean, a guard who has received a basketball scholarship to Louisiana Tech University. He averages 14 points a game. Corey Brown, a forward, has received a basketball scholarship to Northern Arizona University and averages 10 points a game. Majestic Tejada, a guard, has received a basketball scholarship to Northern Arizona University.
“Our players have been together for three or four years and they play well together. This year we could win a state championship,” said Gale.
