McArthur High School defeated South Broward 24 to 21 to win its homecoming game last Friday, Sept. 16. This was the first District 15-7A football game for both teams.
After homecoming, McArthur remains undefeated with a 4-0 record. After a shaky start, the Mustangs dominated the second half, scoring three touchdowns to come back and win the game.
McArthur’s quarterback Deon Jones completed 12 passes for 151 yards and rushed two touchdowns himself. Running back Craig Cooper was the leading rusher with 97 yards.
