The C-M school community recently celebrated a member of their family winning big, and giving back. At the school’s 2014 “Lions on Safari” Annual Gala, which raised close to $40,000 for the school’s academics, fine-arts, student activities and athletics programs, Chaminade-Madonna current parent Alex Carrasco was chosen as the School Raffle Grand Prize winner, winning $5,000.

Mr. Carrasco is a realtor with Keyes Realty, and is a long-time community volunteer and activist. He is actively involved with Nativity Church and its’ Mens Club, in addition to other local organizations. His daughter Sophia is currently a sophomore at Chaminade-Madonna and sold the winning ticket.

Mr. Carrasco generously donated a portion of his winnings back to Chaminade-Madonna, as to provide tuition assistance for qualified, deserving students who would not otherwise be able to receive a quality, Catholic education. “We’re always thrilled when someone from our school family wins our raffle,” said Chaminade-Madonna Senior Director of Advancement Mr. Richard Pulido. “In this case, we are especially grateful for Mr. Carrasco’s generosity. Donating a portion of the money back to our school is a truly generous act. His contribution will go directly to assist deserving and qualified students pursue the best education available in South Florida at Chaminade-Madonna.”
