MIY Ceramics Studio Hosts “Empty Bowls with a Twist” Event May 19 to Benefit Broward Outreach Center

Miy ceramics studio will host “empty bowls with a twist” on may 19

MIY Ceramics Studio artists are making beautifully hand-crafted ceramic bowls to benefit Miami Rescue Mission & Broward Outreach Centers.

One of the MIY potters, Takeshi Kamioka, a chef with 30 years’ experience, has offered to set up a pop-up kitchen and will donate his time, expertise, and equipment for our event. Kamioka is making his signature ramen dish to fill the bowls made by our potters for this charity event.

For a $35 donation, each guest will be able to choose from an eclectic mix of handmade ceramic bowls. The guest will then be guided to the Pop-Up kitchen to have their bowls filled with delicious professionally made Ramen.

Throughout the day there will be music and potters will be demonstrating their craft on the potter’s wheels. Our potters are already hard at work making sure that we will have plenty of beautiful bowls on hand. Their goal is to produce 150 to 200 bowls for this event.

“Empty Bowls with a Twist” will be held at MIY Ceramics Studio, 723 S. 21st Ave., Hollywood, Fl. 33020 on May 19 from 11am to 5pm.

Proceeds from the Empty Bowls with a Twist event will benefit Miami Rescue Mission & Broward Outreach Centers. For more information please contact MIY Ceramics Studio at (954) 927-7300.
