It’s also the home of my favorite singers and actors, and There were many Colombian people that became famous in the past few decades.
I made a list of the Top 10 most famous people in Colombia.

1. Shakira – Most famous singer in Colombia (According to the Billboard Latin music awards and winner of the Latin Grammy award)
The first name on our list of the most famous people in Colombia is undoubtedly Shakira. The international pop star has been a household name since the 1990s, and she is still loved around the world. Shakira is a singer, songwriter, dancer, and record producer.
Her melodic voice and passionate lyrics have earned her multiple Grammy Awards, Latin Grammy Awards, and MTV awards. She is also a UNICEF ambassador and has done a lot of work to help vulnerable children around the world. Her fame in Colombia is unparalleled and is likely to remain that way for many years to come.
2. Pablo Escobar
Pablo Escobar was one of the most famous people in Colombia and perhaps the world. He was a notorious drug lord, who founded the Medellin Cartel and was the wealthiest criminal of his day. His legacy is still remembered today, with a black granite wall featuring 46,612 perforations bearing his name.
He was a self-made man who made it to Forbes magazine ranking of the world’s 10 wealthiest men and revolutionized cocaine trafficking, becoming one of the world’s most wanted men. His death in 1993 marked the end of an era, but his story is still remembered and celebrated throughout Colombia.
Prety much all my favorite movies have Pablo Escobar in it, especially the one named “American made” starring Tom Cruise. I really recommend that you watch it if you haven’t yet!

He is affectionately known as ‘Gabo’ and is widely regarded as the greatest Colombian who ever lived. Another famous Colombian personality is David Ospina, who is a professional soccer goalkeeper. The 31-year-old custodian plays for the Italian Napoli Club and for the Colombian national team. He has made the most appearances for Colombia and has also represented Atletico Nacional, Nice and Arsenal.
Besides his professional career, he also recently impressed many with his free-kick in a charity game, showcasing his impressive skills. With such an impressive career and talent, it’s no wonder that David Ospina is one of the most famous people in Colombia.
7. Ximena Duke

In my opinion, Ximena sounds like a Greek God name. But in my experience, most people like you and me associate this name with the beautiful actress that I described in the paragraph above this one.

The next person on my list of the most famous people in Colombia is Andres Escobar. He was a Colombian footballer who played as a defender for several teams, including Atlético Nacional, BSC Young Boys, and the Colombia national team. He is remembered as a hero by many in Colombia, especially after his tragic death in 1994.
Andres Escobar was also known as The Gentleman for his philanthropic efforts. He was an incredibly popular player at home and abroad and had over 125,000 people line the streets of Medellin to mourn his death.
