Last August, the Hollywood Commission agreed to a contract with Youngquist Brothers for construction services related to Deep Injection Wells Number Three and Number Four located in the Southern Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant in the amount of $39,939,939. It also agreed to a loan application for $20,526,000 for construction funding for the Ocean Outfall Regulatory Deep Injection Wells Project.
June 2019
Last June, the Hollywood Commission agreed to a resolution that allows city leaders to execute an interlocal agreement with the City of Miramar to satisfy Hollywood’s Reuse System Obligation under the Ocean Outfall Legislation. This means Hollywood will deliver some wastewater to Miramar. This water will be extensively treated and used to water grass areas. The cost to the City of Hollywood is $7 million.

The Commission approved an agreement with Reynolds Construction for the permanent emergency repairs to the 60-inch ocean outfall pipeline inside West Lake Village Community along West Lake Drive at Scarlet Oak Street, at Satinleaf Street and possibly at River Birch Street to be compensated on a time and material basis.
