The Hollywood Commission agreed to some major financial transactions during a recent meeting.
They agreed to allow city leaders to apply for and if awarded accept the Department of Homeland Security 2017 Assistance to Firefighters Grant in an amount not to exceed $1,500,000 to purchase fire rescue operational and training equipment. It also authorized the expenditure of matching funds not to exceed $1,500,000.
They agreed to allow city leaders to issue a purchase order agreement between Condo Electric Motor Repair, Inc and the City of Hollywood for pump and electric motor repairs in an estimated annual amount of $310,000.
Finally, they agreed to a purchase order between Lhoist North America Of Alabama LLC and the City of Hollywood for the purchase of rice size quicklime in an estimated annual amount of $506,000.
