Artist/Curator Alissa Alfonso is a practicing pundit of the re-purposing, pop-up proposition.
As an artist, Alissa is fond of finagling found objects—from the trash-heap of uselessness—and weaving them into a new found identity of artistic bravado.
Alissa and her 1973 Shasta trailer (fully transformed into a mobile art gallery) certainly are known to “pop-up” in and around the Hollywood grid and she’s at it once again!
On Saturday, November 5th (from 6pm til 10pm) the latest installment of Eastside Artisan & Flea will take place at the Hollywood Beach Golf Resort (1600 Johnson Street).
This epic undertaking combines local artisans and live music (food and beverages) in a truly festive outdoor atmosphere.
With over 30 vendors—all handpicked by purveyor Alfonso—this event is a family affair of grand scope—artists, contemporary and vintage craft and musicians will mingle—and the project also includes “Hug a Pug.”
Yep, foster-dogs from Compassionate Pug Rescue will be on hand for a nuzzle…
You simply won’t want to miss this groovy stew of a spectacle—for more information contact Alissa at alissa@alissaalfonso.com or call 305 710.1063.
