On March 28, the Dumpstaphunk band will perform from 7-11 p.m. They are known among New Orleans’ musicians as one of the funkiest bands to ever arise from that city. The quintet, who claim funk, soul, blues, gospel and rock ‘n roll feel good music as their influences, was born on the Jazz and Heritage Festival stage. Their performances combine good musicianship and complex funk and jazz arrangements with soulful melodies that are easy for anyone to enjoy.
