I met a wonderful local artist/designer during my recent
sabbatical at the beach. Vasti Miranda designs and assembles her own swim-wear/beach
accessory line. Vasti ‘s Hollywood connection is more than simply living and creating
here; she buys most of her materials at Jo-Ann Fabrics & Craft on Hollywood
Blvd., hires local models for her spreads and exhibits and promotes Hollywood’s
backdrop of architecture and natural beauty in her promotions. Not-for-nothing,
but I suspect you’ll be seeing Vasti’s works in Downtown Hollywood in the very near
future…
