Each year, law enforcement officers nationwide volunteer their off-duty time as “celebrity waiters” in participating restaurants and receive tips to raise funds for Special Olympics. On Thursday, March 16, the Hollywood Police Department will host its annual Tip-A-Cop fundraiser at Longhorn Steakhouse located at 4899 Sheridan Street.
The annual fundraising event is organized by the Law Enforcement Touch Run for Special Olympics and participating restaurants. Special Olympics athletes will be in attendance and helping as well.
There are two shifts we will be working, the afternoon shift which is from 12 noon to 3 p.m. and the evening shift which is from 6 to 9 p.m.
