October 30, 2024

Twitter is a great platform for staying updated on interesting topics through mentions from friends. Viewing these recommendations is made easy when you are tagged in Tweets.

If the mentions become overwhelming, particularly in prolonged conversations, Twitter notifications may become too frequent due to your mention in the thread.

Thankfully, you have the option to manage your Twitter mentions effectively. This guide will illustrate how you can reduce excessive notifications and provide valuable advice.

One option in this conversation is addressing what to do if your username is repeatedly mentioned. To manage this situation, we can provide guidance on utilizing third-party services for handling spam, Tweets, and more.

Opt for a Third-Party Solution

While Twitter does offer moderation features, dealing with Mentions could be more convenient through a third-party service. For active Twitter users facing persistent mentions, adopting a service to efficiently control Tweets can make a significant difference.

Our preference is Circleboom due to its credibility, user-friendly interface, and trustworthiness. Let’s outline the steps:

  1. To begin, launch Twitter on your web browser. Then, open a new tab and visit Circleboom.

Reducing unwanted notifications and mentions is achieved by deleting Tweets, Retweets, and spam accounts. But there’s more that can be done.

    Blocking the Sender

If you decide to block a person on Twitter, you eliminate their presence in your feed, positive or negative, by using the “Block” feature.

Remember, once you block a user, they lose messaging and following capabilities towards your account. Additionally, you stop receiving notifications from this particular user on Twitter.

Follow these steps to block a user:

    1. Launch the Twitter app.
      N224.1
    2. Tap the “Bell” icon at the bottom of the screen.
      N224.2
    3. Select the “Mentions” tab at the top of the screen.
      N224.3
  4. Identify the mention you want to eliminate from your list and click the “three dots icon” next to the sender’s name.
    • When you tap the “Block @username” option, a pop-up notification will appear. Confirm your action by choosing the “Block” button.

    • For reporting Tweets or users, tap the “Bell” icon in your Twitter app. Then go to the “Mentions” tab to locate the Tweet you want to report. Touch the “three dots icon” next to the sender’s name.

After taking these steps, all their Tweets will immediately disappear from your Twitter feed.

    Reporting Tweets or Users

Receiving numerous Tweets that mention you could indicate spamming. It is advisable to report such activity. If someone is being abusive or exhibits potentially threatening behavior, reporting is necessary.

Below are the steps on how to report Tweets.

    1. Begin by tapping the “Bell” icon within the Twitter app. Next, go to the “Mentions” tab to find the Tweet you wish to report. Finally, press the “three dots icon” next to the sender’s name.

    3. Now select one of the reasons why you want to report this. There are five options:
      N224.11N224.11
    4. Follow the instructions for the chosen option above.
    5. Select “Done” and the reporting process is complete.

    Unwanted Mentions Removed

Hopefully, these recommendations will help you to get rid of any unwanted mentions. If you want to block or report malicious users and their Tweets, think about it twice before actually doing so. Although you won’t completely remove them from Twitter, at least you can make these mentions disappear from your feed.

To load delayed scripts, the `pmLoadDelayedScripts` function is utilized. An initial script is shifted, and if present, it awaits script replacement before recursively loading the remaining scripts. The `pmReplaceScript` function is responsible for script replacement after awaiting the next frame.

During the `pmTriggerEventListeners` function execution, various events are triggered related to DOM content loading, window loading, jQuery, and page showing. It ensures proper event handling and dispatching before and after DOM and window-related processes occur.

Additionally, functions like `pmClickHandler`, `pmReplayClicks`, `pmTouchStartHandler` handle specific user interactions like clicks and touch events. These functions help in intercepting clicks, replaying intercepted clicks, and managing touch events respectively to ensure the smooth functioning of the webpage’s user interface.

Lastly, various event listeners are set and attributes are renamed based on user interactions and specific touch events to enhance user experience and optimize performance
