Upcoming Events for Residents to Learn About Crime Prevention and Public Safety
CRIME PREVENTION AND AWARENESS FORUM
The Hollywood Police Department is hosting a Crime Awareness and Prevention Forum, Thursday, January 22 at 6:30 p.m. at Boulevard Heights Community Center, 6770 Garfield Street in Hollywood. This forum is open to all residents. The Department will review its crime reduction strategy, discuss ongoing challenges and present department goals for the year ahead. This will also be an opportunity for residents to learn more about the department’s homeland security, “If You See Something, Say Something,” campaign.
Residents can meet and talk with the Hollywood Police Department Command Staff, Neighborhood Team Leaders, Crime Prevention Specialists and Homeless Outreach Coordinator.
APPLY TO BE PART OF THE CITIZEN’S POLICE ACADEMY
Applications are currently being accepted for the Hollywood Police Department’s 19th Annual Citizen’s Police Academy which starts on Thursday, February 5, 2015. Classes will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. in the 1st Floor Classroom at the Hollywood Police Department, located at 3250 Hollywood Blvd.
This academy is a twelve (12) week program in which citizens will have the opportunity to learn & observe the internal operations of the Police Department. APPLY SOON! Seats are limited!
